Definition

Scrum is a lightweight agile framework that will offer three different types of roles within the organization.

The Product Owner, who will manage and prioritize the backlog and who will write the functional parts.

The Scrum Master, who will be there to help and facilitate the teams to be in the best possible conditions.

The development team, who will be responsible for the technical part of the application.

There is no hierarchy between them and they are completely autonomous.

These three roles are complementary.

Sprint Planning with Agility and Speed in Mind

Scrum, therefore, offers iterations that are rhythmic and equal. You can choose between one and four weeks with sprint systems.

Each sprint starts with a sprint planning where they plan all the work to be done.

Then, every morning, the team quickly catches up in a daily scrum to make sure everyone is on the same: clear on the progress towards the sprint goal and clear about who is doing what.

Reviews with Continuous Improvement in Mind

Each sprint ends with a sprint review and retrospective sprint.

During the sprint review, the scrum team gets together with other stakeholders to discuss what was accomplished during the sprint and determine whether the sprint goal was met.

The sprint retrospective is held by the scrum team and product owner only and takes place right after the sprint review. It is focused on improving the development process.
