tactical meeting
A tactical meeting is a recurring meeting where attendees share updates on operations, discuss potential areas of improvement and decide on next steps.
There are 6 rounds in a tactical meeting:
- the check-in round
- the checklist review
- the metrics review
- the project updates
- the processing of items on the agenda (Holacracy practitioners call these items "Tensions")
- the closing round
In order for the tactical meeting to be as efficient as it can be, it helps to appoint a Facilitator who ensures that you can get through all items in the allotted time.
Although the tactical meeting was developed in the Holacracy Constitution, it is a meeting format that is suitable for all types of organizations. You don't need to practice Holacracy to benefit from this type of meeting.
